Product Description

1. What is Woven Wire Space Cloth?
Woven wire space cloth is square opening woven screen cloth/steel fabric, which is designated by the width of the space or clear opening between the inside edges of two parallel wires or strands.
2. What is Woven Wire Space Cloth Used for?
Woven wire space cloth falls into a group of specifications which are used for screening, sieving, sizing and separating of solids, typically specified by the actual clear opening size rather than by the mesh count.
Tec-Sieve woven wire space cloth is pre-crimped woven wire cloth which is designated by the clear opening size between wires. 
3. Which Steel Grades Are Usually Used to Manufacture Tec-Sieve Woven Wire Space Cloth?
Tec-Sieve crimped woven wire space cloths are most widely applied in industries as screen deck for crusher screen, vibrating screen, quarrying screen, mining screen and other machines.
In the most severe applications, Tec-Sieve crimped woven wire space cloths in stainless steel are available. Stainless steel wire space cloths hold up better against highly abrasive material and protects against severe blinding and clogging problems. By adding 11% or more chromium to steel, a stainless steel alloy becomes non-staining under most conditions that corrode plain steel. In addition, alloys containing chromium and nickel are not magnetic when they are annealed, so material passes through better instead of sticking to the wire.
The most common stainless steel grades used in Tec-Sieve are Grade 304 and Grade 316. 
Grade 304: It is sometimes referred to as "18-8" (18% chromium, 8% nickel).Grade 304 is comparable to high-carbon wire in ductility, wear resistance and tensile strength, withstands outdoor exposure without rusting and resists oxidation at temperatures up to 1,400 degrees F (760° C).
Grade 316: It is stabilized by the addition of at least 2% molybdenum. Like Grade 304, Grade 316 is an "18-8" alloy, but it has better resistance to pitting corrosion than Grade 304 where brines, sulphur-bearing water or chlorides are present. It also has the valuable property of high creep strength at elevated temperatures.

4. How to Prepare Side Edges of Crimped Woven Wire Space Cloths in Tec-Sieve?
When crimped woven wire space cloths are used in screening industries as screen deck, they are usually provided with side edge hooks or special edge treatments for tensioning purposes.
Unless otherwise specified, hooked side edges for heavy and medium duty space cloths are about 30mm long (from the inside of the bend to the end of the hook) and at a 45-60º degree angle from the face of the space cloth.
Note:
1. The above side edge hook types are suitable for most stationary Inclined
and horizontal space cloth screens.
2. At this moment two kinds of sheathing materials are available from Tec-Sieve:
Galvanized Sheet-most commonly used, mainly quarrying/mining
Stainless Steel Sheet-ideal for wet and/or food processing applications, low conductivity
