ASTM E11 and ISO 3310 Standard Stainless Steel or Brass Test Sieves from Tec-Sieve
What Is a Test Sieve?
A test sieve is a scientific screening instrument, which usually uses a screening or sieving medium (woven wire screen, perforated metal screen, or electroformed material) with openings of uniform size and shape mounted on a rigid frame to help generate a reliable particle size distribution curve.
The rigid frame is usually made of stainless steel or brass in a cylindrical configuration.
Typically, a number of test sieves with various mesh openings are stacked on top of each other to separate the particles of a material sample based on their size.
At Tec-Sieve, our product model TS-200 test sieves exclusively refer to either those standard test sieves with 200mm diameter frames provided in the ISO 3310 specifications, or those standard test sieves with 203mm (8in) diameter frames provided in the US Standard ASTM E-11 specifications.
In terms of both ISO 3310 standard test sieves with 200mm diameter frames and ASTM E-11 standard test sieves with 203mm (8in) diameter frames, each of our product model TS-200 test sieves consists of 2Nos shallow cylindrical metal frames (one is called the inside frame, and the other the outside frame) and 1No woven wire screen or perforated plate screen. Furthermore, our metal (stainless steel or brass) frames are drawn from one piece without a seam, and it is important for the users to know that the outside frame is complete with an extended bottom (skirt). The seamless skirt is designed to fit all frames, bottom pans, and nesting pans of the same diameter for convenient stacking. Also, the bottom part of the inside frame is a hoop. The woven wire screen or perforated plate screen is hand soldered onto the back surface of the hoop once the screens are tightened up. Please be advised that for fine sieving, our skilled workers can also have a woven wire screen clamped tightly between the two frames by using a special technology, instead of the hand soldering process.
Meanwhile the hoop also serves the purpose of preventing loss of sample materials between the screen and frames.
Three parts of our product model TS-200 test sieves are illustrated in the picture below:
The following table can show you some general information about our product model TS-200 test sieves.

Note:
In terms of woven wire screens, if you need square aperture size to be more than 26.5mm, our factory will custom make them on order.
Tec-Sieve has been using multiple packing materials to perfectly protect our standard test sieves in transit.
These materials include, but not limited to, bubble wrap, cartons, and plywood cases.
Some typical applications are as follows:
The sizing of chemical and pharmaceutical crystals and powders;
The grading of coal and ores;
Determining the efficiency of a crusher; grinder or industrial screening unit;
Cement testing;
Classifying silt, soil, sand, gravel and other materials encountered in civil engineering work; Checking the state of a fluidized catalyst in an oil refinery.
